5 Summer Date Ideas
Ahh that sweet summer air! Nothing is better than a great summer date and just because your are a parent now doesn’t mean you can’t rock a summer romper and make out sloppily like teenagers.
Sometimes the hardest part about date night can be figuring out what to do and falling into the same old routine. To jumpstart your summer date nights we’ve come up with 5 easy and fun ideas that will have you giggling and hopefully ending the night the way all date nights should end.
We are going to start low key and get progressively fancy…
At-home Game Night on the patio:
No babysitter necessary for date numero uno. Grab yourself a nice bottle of wine or make a fun cocktail and play your favorite game for two. Our personal favorite is Rummy Cube. Just make sure it’s a game you can still chat while playing. Remember the key to date night is reconnecting. Don’t bring out Monopoly or Risk if it’ll cause an argument or contentious moment between the two of you.
Picnic on the beach
We often make this one really easy and swing by the prepared food section at the grocery store on our way to the beach. Bring a blanket from home and you’ll be all set for a romantic and easy night at the beach. You’d be surprised at how good it feels to have sand between your toes and your partner by your side.
Mini Golf and Ice Cream Date
Bring it back to your teenage years and play some putt putt before heading to a great ice cream parlor for a sweet treat.
Roof Top Cocktails and appetizers
Hit up a swanky roof top lounge or patio for a delicious cocktail and small plates. A few of our favorites. Vincent in Andersonville for an Ugly Brother (cocktail) and Frites, Tanta for pisco sour and ceviche or Cabra for a Rosé and Tuna Tiradito.
Dinner at a new restaurant
Head to that restaurant you’ve always wanted to go but just haven’t gotten around to visiting. Get yourself a nice bottle of wine and if you are really feeling crazy snuggle in on the same side of the booth.
